A year has gone by since we last visited Broad Hill Retirement Home and there's some new residents, additions to the staff and the welcome return of a few familiar faces.

Writer, Director and star of the show, Ricky Gervais, said: "I was blown away by the affection from around the world for the first series, particularly the emotional connection it seemed to make with people. I hope they like the second offering as much."
Gervas will return to play lead character Derek Noakes, with Kerry Godliman (Hannah), Karl Pilkington (Dougie), David Earl (Kev) and Holli Dempsey (Vicky) also back. If you've not yet seen the new trailer, sit back and enjoy:
Series 2 will also see Derek's dad move into the home, as well as two new elderly tenants, not to mention new addition to the cast, Colin Hoult, who you'll all know as the psychic from Life's Too Short. And don't miss cameo appearances from the brilliant Joe Wilkinson and Tony Way.
Phil Clarke, Head of Channel 4 Comedy added: "Derek is irreverently funny, but it's world is one of compassion, friendship, and joy in the everyday. We're so pleased to welcome it back onto Channel 4.
