Ricky Gervais said: "Derek is probably my favourite thing of everything I've done, so I can't wait to start thinking up some new adventures for the gang."

Derek has an average 2.1 million viewers, a 9.9% share and with the final episode airing this Wednesday at 10pm, we can sleep well tonight knowing that it isn't the end!
YES! This is great news. A truly beautiful show. I am generally not emotional about television but this show has hit close to home on so many occasions, and has brought me to tears multiple times. I love it. I felt alive after watching it. It has given me a renewed respect for life and those around me. Episode 6 of season 1 was the most profound to me. I associated almost the entire episode to my own life. Watching my wife's health slowly degrading, my father having abandoned me, feelings of never amounting to what I should have... all so close to home. I completely broke down after that episode. It was strangely cleansing. Thank You Ricky Gervais! Pure Magic!
